In 2001, the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT was established as a statewide accountability system which requires each state to ensure that all schools and districts make Adequate Yearly Progress.
The priority and goal of each school is to make AYP. The concept of AYP is not original with man. Jesus Christ is the Creator of AYP. His desire is that no one should be left behind. The Bible says: "For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16."
The question is: HAVE YOU PERSONALLY MET YOUR AYP?
To meet your AYP, the first thing you must do is…
Admit you are a sinner:
The Bible says: "For all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory." Romans 3:23 Because of sin, every person has failed to meet God's standard. No matter how well a person behaves or how many good deeds a person performs, he or she cannot measure up. There is a serious consequence for not meeting your AYP. It is eternal separation from God. Therefore, the first step is to admit you do not have what it takes to meet your AYP. However, there is a way to meet your AYP! The Bible says: "The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b God Himself provided the way to meet your AYP.
To meet your AYP, the second thing you must do is…
Yield yourself to death and resurrection of Jesus Christ:
The Bible says: "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 You must accept the fact that Jesus died for you. He died to pay the penalty for your sin, eternal separation from God, and rose from the dead to purchase for you an eternal home in heaven. To live with God for all eternity is Jesus Christ's free gift to you!
To receive this free gift and meet your AYP, the third and final thing you must do is…
Place your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior:
The Bible says: "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9-10; 13 Would you invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Lord and Savior? By doing so, you will meet your AYP.
Pray this simple prayer:
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. By myself, I cannot make AYP. Jesus, You died on the cross to make AYP for me. Forgive me for my sin. I invite You into my life to become my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you for saving me and giving me eternal life. Amen."
If you asked Jesus to become your personal Lord and Savior, then you have personally met your AYP! Congratulations, you have just made the most important decision of your life. Would you let us know about your decision? We will send some information that will help you tremendously.
